Materials for a history of Mendoza ideas: Volume II – Philosophy, education, art, exiles
Synopsis
This volume brings together a set of works that are added to those already contained in the first. The common objective of both publications is to contribute to the construction of a History of Mendoza's ideas of the 20th century, up to the present. This implies, on the one hand, a patient and silent task of documentation, exploration of archive and library materials, whether they are geographically located or the result of digital searches. But, on the other hand, in the case of a recent period of our regional history, we have appealed to memory focused on stories of experiences lived by those who were interviewed in the course of the investigation.
The complexity of the approaches made it necessary to intertwine different theoretical points of view and methodologies. We draw primarily on the tools provided by the history of ideas, critical hermeneutics, semiotics, discourse analysis, memory studies, in-depth interviews, and document review.
